MONTEITH'S BEER & WILD FOOD CHALLENGE
JUDGING 2011

There are now three ways for you to succeed in this year's Challenge:
  • Expert Judging: Two expert and independent judges will visit every participating restaurant and bar during the judging period and assess them according to the criteria on the judging sheet displayed. The highest scoring participants will become the semi-finalists. These will be visited by the Head Judge to find the top five. These five will join two selected from the People’s Choice to go through to the final cook-off.
  • 'People’s Choice': In exactly the same way as last year the public will use three judging criteria to vote for their favourite wild dishes via text. They can only vote once for each outlet but there is no limit on the number of outlets they can vote for. The two highest scoring restaurants in the 'People’s Choice' section will advance through to the final cook-off. With every text vote the voter will receive a complimentary Monteith's voucher sent via their mobile phone.
  • Spirit of MBWFC: This section will acknowledge those restaurants and bars that really support the Challenge and go that extra mile to promote it within their establishment. This will be judged by the public and our expert judges (50/50 weighting).
Competition Dates:
  • 5th July 2011 – 2 x People's Choice finalists announced.
  • 13th July 2011 – 10 x Expert Judging semi-finalists announced.
